In a replay you read the chart once, decide the side, and step forward on a single timeframe. The decision is made and nothing prompts you to revisit it.

A replay fixes your bias at the start and never asks about it again.

Real charts keep developing

A live chart does not hold still while you are in a position. The 1 hour closes a candle past a swing point while you are watching the 5 minute, and that is a real event with consequences.
