Fewer days

The arithmetic behind skipping. Which losses disappear when unreadable days are removed, and what this rule is not.

Skipping days is usually described as discipline. It is also arithmetic.

Every day traded is an exposure

A losing trade needs you to be in the market for it to happen. A day you did not trade cannot produce one.

That sounds trivial, and it is most of the argument. Fewer days engaged means fewer chances for a poor decision to reach the account.

You cannot lose money on a day you did not trade.

Which losses disappear

Your worst results are not spread evenly across your trades. They cluster on the days that were never readable in the first place.
