The same definition read upside down, on a falling gold chart, so the bullish case is not a second rule to learn.

Everything so far has been a rise that turned into a fall. The fall that turns into a rise works the same way.

The sequence, mirrored

Gold is in a downtrend. The highs come in at 2,462, then 2,441, then 2,424, and the lows at 2,433 and then 2,408.

Price falls away from the 2,424 high and takes the 2,408 low, wicking to 2,391 before closing back at 2,401. The low has been swept.

Then a candle closes at 2,431, above the 2,424 lower high. That close is the break of structure.

A low is swept, then a candle closes above the last lower high.
