Taken, then broken

Model one run over a gold chart. The orders resting above a high, price taking them, and the close that turns a reading into an entry.

The first model is a sweep and a break of structure. On a chart it is three marks, made in a fixed order.

Start at the level, not the candle

Before anything happens, find the obvious level. On gold that is the high at 2,431, and the reason it is obvious is that anybody can see it.

Orders sit above it. Buy orders from traders waiting for a breakout, and the stop losses of everyone who is short. Module 8 put them there and module 12 taught you which ones matter.

The first mark goes on the level, and you make it before price gets near it.

Watch it get taken

Now you wait for price to run through it. Gold pushes up, wicks to 2,440, and closes back down at 2,428.
