Gaps that fail

When a move leaves two empty ranges, price often runs through the first and turns at the second. What that means for where you place your attention.

A fast move usually leaves more than one empty range behind it. Only one of them tends to matter.

Two gaps on one move

Take the bitcoin turn from earlier. Price swept 64,800 with a run to 65,300, then closed at 63,700 below the 64,100 swing low.

That fall was quick, and it left two ranges with almost nothing in them. One at 63,950 to 64,150, and one higher up at 64,500 to 64,750.

One move, two empty ranges, and they are not equal.

Price walks through the first

The rally comes back. It reaches 63,950, covers the lower range, and keeps climbing without pausing.
