Two alarms

The practical setup for keeping the habit alive: an alarm for each step, a second alarm ten minutes later, and one percent a day as the standard.

The habit needs less willpower than people think and more scaffolding. This is the scaffolding.

An alarm for each step

Set an alarm for every step of the routine, not just for waking up.

One to get up. One for the moment the habit starts. One for the step after it, if the routine has one.

An alarm removes the decision. The decision is where the habit gets lost.

Every step you want to happen gets its own alarm.

The second alarm, ten minutes later
