How to take a Loss

How to take a LossLesson 5 of 94 min read

What not to do

The three actions that turn one loss into a bad day, and the sign that you should stop trading for now.

One loss is a small, planned cost. Everything expensive that follows a loss is a decision you make afterwards.

Three of those decisions cause most of the damage.

No trade to win it back

Do not re-enter to recover what the last trade cost. That is revenge trading, and the giveaway is the reason: you are taking this trade because of the previous one, not because the chart offered anything.

The market does not know what you lost and does not owe it back.

A trade taken to recover money is not a setup.
