Fair Value Gaps Part 1

Fair Value Gaps Part 1Lesson 1 of 84 min read

The empty range

Fair value gap, imbalance and liquidity void are three names for one thing: a price range with nothing resting against the move.

Fair value gaps are split across three modules, the same way liquidity was.

This first part is what a gap is and why it forms. Finding it, drawing it and trading it come after. Nothing here asks you to place a trade.

A reason, not a line

A line drawn across a chart marks a price where something happened before. It does not say why anything should happen there again.

This course looks for reasons instead, and the reason is always the same: orders being filled. Liquidity was the first of those reasons. This is the second.

Every reason in this method comes back to orders.
