Why price returns
The mechanism behind the box: a range that filled a large position once is a range that can fill more of one.
A box on a chart is only useful if there is a reason price should go back to it. There is one, and it is short.
Filled once, can fill again
Between 2,420 and 2,440 there were enough buyers to absorb a large amount of selling.
Nothing about those prices has changed since. If that band could take that size once, it can take more of it.
A range that worked as a place to fill is still a place to fill.
The position is rarely finished
A position large enough to turn the market is not built in one go.
