Why the open
The reason the good trade is usually the early one, stated as price and time rather than as discipline.
Module 22 told you to act after a session opens. The rule about taking few trades sits on the same fact, and this lesson is that fact.
New money arrives at the open
When a session opens, orders that have been waiting for hours are placed at once. Volume, meaning the amount actually traded, jumps.
That is when the sequence you have learned happens. Resting orders above a high or below a low get taken, a large position gets filled across a leg, and structure breaks. Those events need participation, and participation is concentrated at the start.
The chart makes its move when the volume shows up.
What is left afterwards
Hours later the picture is different. Volume has fallen and the day usually has its high and its low already in.
