Name your gaps

Nobody can see the hole in your understanding from the outside. The remaining gap is usually small repeated mistakes, and each one has a price.

The course can cover what is known to be missing. It cannot cover what only you can see.

Someone who has traded for years no longer remembers which parts were confusing. The steps that took them months have become automatic and invisible.

So a course covers what its author thinks is unclear. Whatever fell outside that guess stays uncovered until a reader says so.

The gap in your understanding is visible from your seat and from nowhere else.

The gap is rarely a concept

By this point the concepts are usually fine. Readers can define a sweep, a break of structure and a block.
