Candlesticks

CandlesticksLesson 1 of 144 min read

The timeframe

The timeframe is how long one candle takes to close. Everything else in this module sits on that setting.

A candle is how a chart draws price movement. Before you read one, you need to know how much time it covers.

How long one candle takes

The timeframe is how long a candle takes to close. It is a setting on the chart, and you pick it.

On the 5 minute chart, one candle holds five minutes of price movement. When those five minutes end, that candle is finished and a new one starts.
