Blocks as targets
The second use of a block. The one left by the previous turn sits in the path of your trade, and that is where the fall gets interrupted.
Every lesson so far has treated a block as somewhere to get in. It is also somewhere to get out.
Look the other way
You are short gold from 2,431, aiming at the orders under the 2,396 low.
On the way down the trade passes the turn that started this whole rise. That turn went upward, so it left a block of its own: the fall from 2,409 into the 2,396 low.
A previous turn in the other direction leaves a block in the path of your trade.
Why it interrupts you
That range is where buying was filled the last time price was there.
