How you size
Two ways to turn a risk into a lot size. One is decided in advance, one is worked out per trade, and the plan names which of them you use.
You know the money you may lose. The platform asks for a lot size. There are two ways to bridge that, and the plan picks one.
Fixed sizes, decided in advance
The first way is to settle on a small set of sizes and never calculate again.
A trader doing this might keep three: a normal size, a smaller one for a poor day, and a larger one reserved for the clearest setups. The size is chosen from that list before the session, based on the risk the day allows.
Nothing is worked out at the moment of entry, which is the whole appeal.
Fixed sizing removes arithmetic from the moment you are least able to do it.
Calculated, per trade
