Analysis or execution

Before anything gets changed, the loss has to be sorted into one of two kinds.

Two separate questions

Question one: was the direction right. Did price go where you said it would go.

Question two: was the entry right. Did the price you got in at, and the stop attached to it, survive long enough to find out.

Direction and entry are two different skills, and they fail separately.

Bias right, entry wrong

This is the common one, and it looks like this. You are short gold, your stop is taken, and price then travels to the level you had marked as the target.
