The risk field
The fourth column. Recording the percentage you actually risked, the lot size behind it, and what a drifting number in this column means.
The fourth column is a number, and it is the fastest of the four to fill in.
What goes in it
Write the percentage of your account you risked on that trade.
One percent, or half a percent, or whatever the position actually put at risk if the stop had been hit. Percentages, not money, so the column stays readable as the account changes.
Record the percent, because it is the number that compares across months.
The number is already decided
Module 13 fixed one percent per trade. Traders quote a band running up to about three percent, and one percent is the low end of it on purpose.
